What if the civilization had tiers(or education levels) and that our character failed to graduate with average ability was the one to fall into the low jobs. As he being of the first of his kind to be send there along with the pigs to herd(?) them. And was forced to create or use a subpar/prototype pearl to escape the dangers in a different way than his brethren due to being far away as well as filled with danger stopping him from going back. Land him directly to how we started in the future.
Zombie Pigmans could have the genetics of a human, since you had the theory that the ancient people burried their dead in the soulsand, which then resulted them turning into wither skeletons, but since the pigs ate the netherwart, and netherwart grows on soulsand, maybe something wierd is in it???🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

If Steve and Alex are descendants of these ancient builders you keep mentioning, then where are their parents? I mean children are stupid and will die almost instantly without proper guidance, especially in the wilderness like we usually spawn in game. Speaking of which; I should point out is the fact that they seemingly just teleport into the world, which can’t be possible if they’re descendants of that race.

I have another theory the builders must of had law right? So what it they banished the wither skeletons to the nether as a punishment of there crimes and when the pigs got struck by lightning you wouldn’t want to keep that in your pin so you chucked em down with the convicts and the reason they fight is because of the lack of resources and the soul saving ability of the soul sand has been keeping them alive for centuries and thus for the rivalry has still been going on

Hey, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe Minecraft and Minecraft: Story Mode aren't too different Story-Wise. I mean I know they're not canonically related, or are they? I was just thinking, since Minecraft Worlds are extremely large, if not endless, there must have been other ancient builders who survived overground, right? I mean, the Wither, for all heck's sake, cannot split into a million pieces and go everywhere at once, and when we as the player come into a world the wither is gone, so someone must have defeated it. And in Minecraft Story Mode, Undead Mobs also exist, so Ancient Builders must have existed there too. And honestly whenever Mat mentioned Ancient Builders I couldn't stop thinking of the Old Builders people from Story Mode.. So could they actually be survivors of that apocalypse and/OR even have defeated the normal Wither? Maybe Story Mode has a few more answers to the original game's lore, but that might just be me wishing.
